Defective Products/Product Liability

The term “product liability” is associated with a business owner or manufacturer being held accountable for the injuries caused by a defective product. Both entities have a duty to the consumer to keep them safe from harm while using their product. The federal product liability statute of limitations states the time to file a product liability claim is “Within two years: An action for assault, battery, or injury to, or for the death of, an individual caused by the wrongful act or neglect of another.”

Examples of different defective product claims that Castro Legal Group handles include:

  • Auto Defects

  • Children’s Products

  • Home improvement tools

  • Household Appliances

  • Furniture

  • Medical Devices

  • Sports Equipment

  • Medications, including over the counter medications such as pain relievers, have been recalled in the past due to unlabeled side effects or contamination.

If the time allowed by law to pursue a claim for damages is exceeded, it is almost an impossibility to obtain compensation for medical expenses or pain and suffering resulting from manufacturer negligence. The expert staff at Castro Legal Group can provide superior representation for defective products. Our pursuit of deceptive and negligent manufacturers, specifically those causing catastrophic harm, is unmatched.
